The Mighty Bald Eagle

I threw this poster together for a guy I work with. It's his Halloween costume and it's completely made of Duck Tape®. One of our clients is Henkel, maker of said Duck Tape. They have an annual contest to see who can make the best outfit out of, you guessed it, Duck Tape.

Gogel Bordello

I was recently introduced to a band I can't stop listening to. They're called Gogol Bordello. They have been around since 1999, but for some reason this self-described, "Gypsy punk band," formed in NYC's lower east side has stayed under my radar until now.

Comprised of Russians, an Israeli, an Ethiopian, an Ecuadorian, a drummer from Florida and a Chinese Scottish?, they are quite the collection.

You may know the lead singer, Eugene Hütz, from his role as "Alex" in the 2005 movie, Everything is Illuminated. I heard his singing style best described as a cross between Borat and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. He is originally from the Ukrain, but at the age of 15, moved to Vermont with this parents following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Which could explain a lot.

So, if you're interested in a dose of Eastern European angst, give them a listen.

Chris Matthews, Ha!

Chris Matthews gets my vote for who I would most like to have a beer with. He cracks me up. His directness, his honesty, his strange since of humor. And that laugh is hilarious!

It kind of gets to me when people paint him as a "right-winger" or a conservative. I think he is one of the fairest people on television and one of the few that pushes politicians for a straight answer. And that laugh is hilarious!

Table the label, fool!

I think my favorite is, "...with her mustard socks and ketchup sash, she's a real hotdog."
